Bryze | Privacy Policy

At Bryze, we build tools for creators, dreamers, and visual thinkers to turn scattered visual moments into meaningful creative stories. We know your inspirations, mood boards, color tags, personal notes, and mood ratings are deeply personal extensions of your creativity, so protecting your privacy is embedded into every feature we design. This policy outlines how we handle, store, and protect your data when you use the Bryze app.

1. Information We Collect

Content You Voluntarily Provide

This includes all photos you import from your camera or gallery, curated mood board structures, custom color tags, text notes, mood ratings, and any other content you add to your personal collection. This content is owned entirely by you, and we never access it without your explicit permission.

Usage & Insights Data

The built-in creative habit insights feature runs locally on your device by default. If you opt in to anonymous usage sharing, we collect non-identifiable data about feature usage (such as filter preferences, mood board organization patterns, and common tag categories) to improve Bryze functionality for all users. This data is never linked to your personal identity or content.

Device Permissions Data

We request access to your camera and gallery only when you choose to capture or import photos. We never scan your device storage for content outside of the files you explicitly select to save to Bryze. Optional push notification permissions are only used to send reminders you opt in to, and no notification content is stored on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

To core app functionality: Store your inspiration collection, sync your tags and mood boards across your devices (if you enable cloud sync), generate your personal creative insights, and power color filter and search features.
To improve product experience: Use anonymous, aggregated usage data to optimize interface navigation, improve color detection accuracy, and develop new features that align with how creators use Bryze.
To provide support: If you reach out to our team for help, we will only access account information you explicitly share with us to resolve your issue. We will never view your private inspiration content without your direct written permission.
We will never sell, rent, or share your personal content, contact information, or identifiable usage data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

All your content is stored locally on your device by default, so your collection never leaves your hardware unless you choose to enable our optional end-to-end encrypted cloud sync feature.

If you enable cloud sync, your content is encrypted on your device before being uploaded, and we store it on secure servers with zero-access encryption: no Bryze employee, contractor, or third party can view the content of your mood boards, photos, or notes.

You retain full control of your data at all times: you can delete individual images, entire mood boards, or your full Bryze collection at any time. When you delete content, it is permanently removed from your device and our cloud servers (if applicable) with no residual copies retained.

4. Third Party Services

Bryze does not integrate with third-party advertising networks or tracking tools. If you choose to share content from Bryze to external platforms or services, any data you share will be governed by the privacy policy of that third party, and we have no control over their handling of your shared content.

We only use third-party service providers for essential infrastructure (cloud storage, payment processing for premium features) that are bound to strict data protection obligations, and none of these providers have access to the unencrypted content of your Bryze collection.

5. Your Rights

Access all content and data associated with your use of Bryze directly through the app settings.
Export your full collection (including all photos, tags, notes, and mood board structures) in an open, non-proprietary format at any time.
Opt out of anonymous usage data collection without impacting your access to core Bryze features.
Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data, with confirmation of deletion sent to you within 72 hours of your request.

6. Policy Updates

We may update this privacy policy periodically to reflect new features, security improvements, or operational requirements. We will notify you of any material changes via in-app notification at least 30 days before the updated policy takes effect. You can review all previous versions of the privacy policy in the app settings at any time.
